At the final GRABBY Award Ceremony of the 2008 season, Raging Stallion Studios finished on top by claiming the GRABBY Awards for Best Picture (Grunts DVD) and Best Director (Chris Ward and Ben Leon). Ink Storm DVD was awarded the prize for best fetish film, and Playback DVD won best sex scene for the pairing of Jake Deckard and Remy Delane, both Raging Stallion Studios exclusives. Deckard also shared the prize of Performer of the Year and Steve Cruz won Best Newcomer.

Raging Stallion Studios president Chris Ward say:
“It was our year, we really worked hard to make the best movies possible. Our guys have never been better, and the lineup for next year looks even more spectacular! GRUNTS is going to be a hard act to follow, but we will do our best to keep turning out award winning quality pictures. I am very proud of our studio and of our actors. It took us almost ten years to get to the top (RSS was founded in 1999), but it was worth it. To have RSS included in the ranks of studios such as Channel One, Hot House, and Falcon is a real honor.”

Raging Stallion is investing heavily in a major Western Epic to be shot in New Mexico later this summer. The movie will be jointly directed by Chris Ward, Ben Leon, and Tony Dimarco.

On Sat. 17th May, 2008, the brightest and best of the gay porn industry gathered at the ufaFabrik International Centre in Berlin to celebrate the very best films, actors and directors from both within Europe and beyond. The event, which is Europe’s biggest gay porn awards show, was hosted by the London-based Queen of Drag Bingo, Ms Jonny Woo, and a total of 25 awards were handed out – all decided by the votes the general public via the EGPA web page.

Jean-Daniel Cadinot died of a heart attack on April 23 and was 64 years old. Cadinot wrote, produced and directed more than 60 films over 30 years, including Tendres Adolescents, Safari City and Nomades, and founded his own production company called French Art.
