The 5th annual Reading Pride festival is being held on 30th August 2008 at Kings Meadow, Reading. It’s free-to-enter event.

This popular family day out will attract around 7,000 people, of all ages and from all walks of life. For a little extra fun the theme for this year is “Saints and Sinners”. If you are a little devil or a beautiful angel you can join in and dress to impress. Relax in the park or spend the day in glorious style, sipping champagne in the VIP areas, open to members of Reading Pride. And, as the suns starts to go down, a number of top DJs will line up to get you in the party mood for an evening of “After Pride” parties at various venues around the town centre.

August 29 - September 7. It’s the week of year when Queenstown (NZ) truly lives up to its name, hosting the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest gay and lesbian alpine party. GAY SKI WEEK NZ has established itself as a leading event on the international gay calendar with a stellar line up of events and entertainment. Attracting people from all over the globe revelers come to wine, dine, ski, dance, adventure and sing their way through the week.

The Festival of the Babes (FOB) is a lesbian soccer festival held every Labor Day weekend. It was founded by a women’s soccer team that was compelled to create their own tournament after attending the Gay Games in Vancouver, B.C., and the Seattle Sports Festival. Now entering its 18th year, FOB includes a two-day soccer tournament, Opening Ceremonie (August 29), and dance parties each night. Teams come to play from California, Washington, Oregon, Canada, and wherever lesbians play soccer.

FOB 18 will be hosted in Seattle, Washington. All the games will take place at Maplewood Playfield on Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend, August 30-31, 2008.
